Information on Colostrum:

                        What is Colostrum?

Colostrum is the pre-milk fluid produced from the
mother’s mammary glands during the first 24-48 hours
after birth. It provides life-supporting immune and
growth factors that insure the health and vitality of the
newborn. Colostrum is so important that most infants
                       would simply die without it.

                       The Problem

During the fifties and sixties, many doctors
recommended against breastfeeding. So many of us
never got the natural "seeding" -- the initial boost to our
immune and digestive systems -- which Colostrum
provides. Plus, after puberty, the amount of immune
and growth factors present in our bodies begins to
decline. We become more vulnerable to disease, our
energy level and enthusiasm lessens, our skin loses its
elasticity, and we gain unwanted weight and lose muscle
tone. We also live in a toxic environment, with
pollutants and allergens all around us.

                       The Solution

Research has shown† that Colostrum has powerful
natural immune and growth factors that bring the body
to a state of homeostasis -- its powerful, vital natural
state of health and well-being. Colostrum helps us
combat disease-causing organisms such as bacteria,
viruses, yeasts and parasites; it also enables us to resist
the harmful effects of pollutants, contaminants and
                       allergens where they attack us.

Plus, the growth factors in Colostrum create many of
the positive "side-effects" of a healthy organism -- an
enhanced ability to metabolize or "burn" fat, greater
ease in building lean muscle mass, and greatly
accelerated healing of injury or trauma.

Why is MI-COL Colostrum better ?

Colostrum’s effectiveness is reduced if it isn’t organic,
and if it isn’t processed right. Excessive heat is
particularly bad. MI-COL is processed at
low heat to protect its potency.

Our original colostrum product, available in both
capsules and powder form, is collected only from
pasture-fed cows which are pesticide, antibiotic and
hormone free. Our suppliers, California and Washington
Dairies, provides a healthy cattle. This provides
                       colostrum with significantly enhanced efficacy,
since naturally pasture-fed animals develop immunity
to a wider range of pathogens than those which are
fed processed feed. The huge herd also creates a high
                       degree of standardization.

Common sense also suggests that nutrients are difficult
for humans to assimilate if they are not water-soluble.

Our High-Ig colostrum is the only genuine first-milking
                       colostrum guaranteed by independent laboratory
analysis to have a minimum 20% or 30% immunoglobulin
                       content. MI-COL 20% is a minimum 20% and MI-COL has a
                       minimum 30% IGg
